The best lines you could use --GateKeepers are you listening?

To start with the SCIP Code of Ethics for CI Professionals
http://www.scipstor e.org/scipstore. org-asp// ci/ethics. asp
or AIIP Code of Ethical Business Practice

Methods:
1) Just ASK- Call up the receptionist and ask I'm trying to locate
your company's sales rep in NJ?90% of the time it's the
courage/Educe to ASK.

There are so many thing in the world you could fear more than the
fear of being "judged" by others. SO MOST IMPORTANT and the BEST
WAY - JUST ASK

2)Verify:-Call your target company in the middle of the
night.Started dialing extensions in the spell by name directory
moved up and down the list and have names and numbers and you have
dozens or hundreds of people. Verify names with the receptionist and
secure titles Or just start calling everyone on the list hoping that
you will get someone who will fit your job spec

3)Call Disconnected: I called this morning and the call got
disconnected or was asked to call back as "it wasn't clear". He/She
must have called from cell phone?Do you have the number of the
person?

4)Interview: - I was there for a interview 3 days back forgot the
names of the interviewer' s) and wanted to follow up with a thank you
note or email.

It may work where they don't or can't keep track of all the hiring
that's going on.

5)Thats My bowl:-Go to the lunch restaurants and shops surrounding
the target companies.Talk to the manager and propose that you be
allowed to place a `drop in your business card to win a free lunch'
fish bowl on the counter top next to the register- Should this be
included in getting past GK? and don't big co's have cafeteria?

6)Lost Card:-The card my manager was given has got lost and he's
sure he'd recognize the name

7)Oldest Routine?:-I' m sending out some information. ..can I verify
the spelling...title, etc." This has worked

7)2nd Oldest Routine?:-"I' m formatting a mailing list and I was
wondering if you could help me..."

8)I am you:- I am a Customer or employee of your target and I need
to contact....

9)Lost:-I am working for the target co in and travelling(Off the
plane)and lost, at a pay phone. You need the names of all the
engineers at the HQ to help you with your work.

9)Calling the wrong Dept:- Oh Did I called Accounting I was supposed
to call Sales.

10)Listen:-Many times let them do the talking and navigate the call
to your advantage

11)Next Extension - I know "xyz" sits at extension 201 whom do you
think sits at ext 202?

12)Then you have so many like - I met at a Party, wedding or Coffee
Shop o.. It never ends.
